Charlotte is a dynamic and results-driven leader with over a decade of experience in public affairs, policy development, and strategic leadership. She has successfully guided HPA UK through a transformative period of growth, leading a complex three-way merger to establish HPA UK as a unified and influential voice within the heat pump sector. Under her leadership, membership and turnover increased by over 300%, alongside the expansion of a high-performing team and the delivery of a clear, ambitious organisational strategy. Charlotte is highly regarded for her ability to influence at the highest levels, representing the sector on ministerial and government advisory groups. Her expertise spans stakeholder engagement, campaign delivery, and cross-sector collaboration, consistently driving outcomes that support industry growth and the transition to Net Zero.

Olivia leads HPA UK’s policy and strategic communications efforts with experience in public affairs and policy work. Prior to joining HPA UK, she was Public Affairs Advisor to the NAPIT Group, focusing on policy related to electrical safety, competency, and standards. Her extensive background also includes leading policy initiatives for the Association for Consultancy and Engineering in the UK Devolved Nations, where she spearheaded workstreams on decarbonising the built environment and transport. Olivia holds a Master’s degree in Politics and Contemporary History from the University of Nottingham, providing her with a strong foundation for her role in shaping and communicating HPA UK’s policy directions.

As Policy and Communications Executive, Chloe bridges the gap between fast-moving policy developments and effective communication. With an MSc in Policy Research from the University of Bristol, Chloe combines a strong foundation in research methods with practical experience in sustainability and marketing. Previously working as a Marketing Executive at an environmental data consultancy, she managed outreach campaigns, digital content, and internal sustainability. She now works across the association’s design, social media, and newsletter communications while supporting policy development to advance low carbon heating solutions.

With an extensive background in sales, marketing and events, Stephen has a wealth of experience supporting trade associations. At HPA UK, Stephen uses his organisation and project management skills to support our members and the delivery of key events such as the HPA UK conference.

Nancy has over 25 years of experience in the heating sector, including working for a number of large global heat pump manufacturers. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, she now works as Technical Consultant for HPA UK providing technical advice to its leadership team and membership. Nancy has a strong knowledge of heat pump and renewables policy development as well as a sound understanding of both the commercial and technical context.

With an honours degree in mechanical engineering, Dave has over 40-years experience in the energy and heating sector, including senior roles within research, testing and certification bodies for heating appliances, personal competence and business regiustration schemes. Working as a Technical Consultant at HPA UK, Dave leads the work on competence and training, including Chairing the Building Safety Regulator’s Heat Pump Development Group on behalf of HPA UK. He also undertakes analysis and modelling to support the membership with marketplace data and future projections.

An Associate of the Royal College of Science, Bean has over 17-years’ experience in the industry, during which time he has overseen the technology positioning, specification and delivery of various heat pump solutions, predominantly in period and Listed buildings. Since 2016, Bean has concentrated on sector representation, as a communicator and advocate for advancement of the industry, and now leading HPA UK’s outputs related to commercial buildings, the public sector and industrial processes.

Joel holds a mechanical engineering masters degree and doctorate in sustainable energy, both from the University of Nottingham. He was the technical lead in the UK government district heat networks team and now supports HPA UK with its work relating to shared ground loops, low carbon heat networks and drilling.
